It's approaching 11 a.m., and the strollers are rolling in at Storyopolis. It's the usual assortment of Gracos and Maclarens, infants and toddlers, mommies and nannies. They're all here for story time -- a free weekday event that gives kids and their caregivers an excuse to get out of the house, snuggle up in soft, candy-colored chairs and listen to someone else read out loud for a while. On a recent Thursday, it wasn't long before an out-of-tune rendition of "Wheels on the Bus" was echoing through the roomy Studio City store, which specializes not only in kids' books but illustrators' art. National Enquirer: October 9, 2006 Stopping by Storyopolis in Studio City to pick up a few books for son Maddox, BRAD PITT walked in during a story-telling session the store holds regularly for tiny tykes. the storyteller lady-who's been asking for kids or adults to play characters in the book she was reading aloud-nearly swallowed her bookmark when she looked up to see the smiling superstar! He waved at her to continue as excited moms suddenly noticed his studly presence...but when the storyteller asked who'd like to play the wicked wolf, Brad put up his hand. Delighting the crowd, howling and growling ferociously, Brad played big, bad wolf like he was going for an Oscar-and got a big, bad round of applause! |
